Gisborne Giants Football Netball Club
Est. 2016
Gisborne Giants Football Netball Club (GGFNC) is part of the Riddell District Football Netball League (RDFNL). We are an Incorporated Association led by a proud and passionate volunteer committee. We are a strong community of families from in and around our shared home ground, currently in Gisborne.
Our story began in 2016 kicking off with 4 x football teams and with community support, the club has grown to facilitate junior and senior teams in both football and netball.
Season 2025 marks our first year of full senior
affiliation in the RDFNL. Season 2025 also marks the transition to our new home at the Macedon Ranges Regional Sporting Precinct.
Whilst we remain competitive in different age groups across
football and netball, our club welcomes players of all ages and skill levels.
Our philosophy and attitude in our daily operations include development at
different paces, opportunities of engagement with all stakeholders, and
rewarding experiences along the Giants journey.
At Gisborne Giants, we understand the importance and
benefits of sport and the sense of belonging of our members. We go beyond the training session and match day to incorporate initiatives that include, and not
limited to, advanced fitness, diversity, personal mental health, mental
strength in sport, social connections and creating a safe zone. Personal
growth and positive life experiences are key.
Gisborne Giants have experienced success in growth and
interest as a result of community contribution and dedication and upholding our
values. A grassroots club that provides opportunities for all being the
Giants
in community sport!
